I'm an easy-going, intelligent, insightful work-in-progress. My spiritual path has wound around MANY places, from Quaker to evangelical and now an eclectic pagan with Norse/Anglo-Saxon influences. My politics have always been left-of-center, though these beliefs have evolved and refined with maturity as well :) I have a lot of patience and compassion -- but not for false naivete and learned helplessness. 'Be bold and mighty forces will come to your aid,' or as Martin Luther said "If you must sin, sin boldly!" ;) Seeking someone who is open-minded: not just philosophically but open to letting the universe unfurl itself without trying to micro-manage it all. Kind, but NOT 'nice'. A sense of humor (does anyone NOT look for a sense of humor?) Sarcasm and gallows humor are dandy, cynical and bullying are not. Calm confidence: people who are NOT paralyzed by the fear of failure. People who are not prone to elaborate expressions of anxiety over the little things of daily life. In short (too late! :) someone who is a kindred spirit but not neccesarily a mirror image of myself. |
